Atlantic City Steve Wynn Considers Return Sept 2006

Steve Wynn was in Atlantic City on Tuesday Sept 26 to meet with public officials and took a tour of new possible Atlantic City Casino sites. Gaming mogul Steve Wynn was back in town to scout prospects for another casino. He met privately Friday with Gov. Jon S. Corzine and other key officials to discuss the project, but offered few details about what he would like to build but as you know Steve Wynn only builds LARGE projects.

Wynn's interest in Atlantic City underscores the resort's evolution from a daytripper market for low-rolling gamblers arriving by bus to a more upscale overnight destination combining gaming with high end retail, dining and entertainment. Atlantic City Hotels

Atlantic City appears on the verge of another wave of casino development following Borgata's grand opening in 2003. Wall Street investment bank Morgan Stanley is looking for a casino partner to redevelop 20 acres in the South Inlet; Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. has bought the Sands Casino Hotel and will knock it down to build a $1.5 billion megaresort; and an investment group headed by Cape May hotel owner Curtis Bashaw and former Caesars Entertainment CEO Wallace R. Barr wants to build a boutique Boardwalk casino at the foot of the Route 40 corridor.

“The playing field keeps changing,” Levy said of the flurry of projects. “It's tough to keep up with it.”

This is great News for Hotels and Casinos in Atlantic City, NJ. If more casinos are built we can attract the United States largest conventions and events!
